3 Ways You Can Save a Smile For Children’s Dental Health Month

For many parents, seeing their children smile is a gift they get to see every day. But, for parents of children born with cleft deformities, seeing their child smile for the first time would be life changing.

Around the world, approximately 1 in every 600 children is born each year with a cleft lip and/or cleft palate. But, in as few as 45 minutes and with as little as $240, a single surgery can heal that child’s smile, restoring long-term health and removing eating, speech and social difficulties.

To celebrate National Children’s Dental Health Month, and further our efforts with Operation Smile to heal the smiles of more than 40 children around the world, we’ve got 3 ways YOU can help save a child’s smile in February:

We’ll Match Your Donations: DentalPlans.com is dedicated to donating a minimum of $10,000* to Operation Smile. All month long, we’ll be matching donations made to our One Smile Page, up to $1,000. That’s equivalent to saving 8 children’s smiles!

Retweet a Random Act of Smiling: Children’s Dental Health Month also coincides with Random Acts of Kindness Week. From Feb. 13-19th, we’ll donate $1 to Operation Smile for every random act of kindness Tweet that includes a smile 🙂 and tags @dentalplanscom, up to $500!

Vote for Your Favorite Celebrity Smile: We’re hosting a “Facebook Smile-Off” every week in February for you to vote for your favorite celebrity smiles during awards season. Plus, each vote equals a $1 donation made by DentalPlans.com. Help us get 1,000 votes to donate up to $1,000 to Operation Smile.
